Meanwhile, also dueditanelcuore (aka Denise D’angelilli), tyler13 (aka Andrea Menandro) and nzo (Lorenzo Grandi) have volunteered to be the frestyl knight in Milan. animarock (aka Francesca Paolini) plans to conquer for us Tuscany with elisita (aka Elisa Ascani) . Nel frattempo, sempre a Milano, si sono candidati dueditanelcuore (aka Denise D’Angelilli), tyler13 (aka Andrea Menandro) e nzo (Lorenzo Grandi) . animarock (aka Francesca Paolini) ha invece in mente di conquistare in nome di frestyl il Granducato di Toscana insieme a elisita (aka Elisa Ascani). ABOUT IanFobia (frestyl knight in Milan)
Ladies and gentlemen, my name’s Fabio. I’m 22 years old and I live in Milan since September 2008. I moved to Milan from the smallest Italian region (Molise – does it even exist? Nobody knows) to attend Bocconi University (it’s so boring, mate!). As I moved here, I went to several concerts by my favorite bands, for example the Killers, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Subsonica, Verdena, Pete and the pirates, Klaxons, James Blake, Arcade Fire and so on. I’m an obsessive music consumer. My homepage? Pitchfork, of course. I hate hipsters (am I just an hipster who hates other hipsters for being hipsters?!). That’s because listening to music is not a question of style, but a question of soul. I’m also attending a course at “Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti” for electronic music production.

- I nostalgically remember when, in March 2009, I was at Killers’gig at Mediolanum Forum (Assago). I was just a misunderstood teenager when, in 2004, I used to sing these lyrics in the shower: “Somebody told me you have a boyfriend who looks like a girlfriend that I had in February of last year.. lalalala” and finally I had the opportunity, five years later, to watch Brandon Flowers and Co. on stage! It was my first concert in Milan and it was astonishing. I sang all the songs by heart and bought a t-shirt with the name of the band (What a groupie!).
- Last summer I’ve been at Fib Festival, a festival which takes place at Benicassim, 80 Km far from Valencia. A typical day at Fib Festival: swimming during the day, concerts in the evening and dancing all night long (Holy shit, what about sleeping? No time for sleeping, mate!). All bands and artists that people wish to see once in their life were there: The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Primal Scream, Brandon Flowers (The Killers’ frontman), Elbow, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead and so on.
- In April 2010 I had the honor to go to James Blake’s concert at Magazzini Generali. James Blake is 23 years old and, in my opinion, is a very avant-garde musician, who mixs perfectly his academic training in piano with a great ability in using electronic supports.

- Life in Plastic is fantastic! On Friday night you can dance with other fake-indie-guys while an unknown garage band from South California is playing its lo-fi rock’n’roll. The House of Bordello on Saturday night represents a celebration of the grotesque. All around the club you can see: “girls who are boys who like boys to be girls who do boys like they’re girls who do girls like their boys”. On Sunday night take your flight for a Match à Paris: alè le bleu, alè le bleu!
- Rocket is a small and smelly club where you can have a beer with your fellas while in the other room MGMT are playing “Kids” and no more than fifteen people are listening to it (back in 2008!). If you pay attention to the events I will create on fresyl, you won’t ever miss concerts as precious as pearls.
- Sometimes life is hard and you have just a few euros in your pockets. Then, get an ARCI Card and go to Arci Magnolia, Bitte, Toilet Club, Arci Bellezza… in these clubs live music is usually cheaper! Be smart!
ABOUT animarock (frestyl knight candidate in Tuscany)
Francesca, in her family she is the strange one, hates social conventions and since she was a child, she had a strong personality. She loves music and spends her free time singing and playing the guitar. In 1999 she discovered rock’n roll and fell in love with it. Her life changed. She moved to Rome for studying and got a degree in foreign languages. Then she went for a while in Spain. Once she came back, she started following her favourite bands all over Italy, doing interviews, writing reports and music reviews. Currently she collaborates with Shiver Webzine, Radio Bombay, Radio Out and aspires to become a frestyl knight. She lives in Pisa, but when the music calls, she’s always ready to go. Destination: everywhere!

I like: biting stock-cubes, listening to my little dwarfs snoring, touching T’s tummy.
I don’t like: soup, plastic cd cases, television.
I can do everything for: eating a mayonnaise and anchovy paste sandwich, stop menstruating, teleport myself.
Never ever: eating cooked apples, listening to a whole De André’s album, dancing at the disco.
I brilliantly accomplished useless studies and many internships, I persist in working rarely and exclusively as temporary, I live of love and sea salt & balsamic vinegar chips.

• Musician is called someone that plays in a band, possibly a cool one.
• Blogger is called someone that enjoys writing on several blogs about his passions and his enemies.

THE BEST CONCERTS OF HIS LIFE:
• 2003, Florence, Radiohead. I waited for hours under the sun and slept in my car afterwards, but still. Best thing I’ve listened to in my life.
• 2010, NYC, Morphine. Well, there were just two of them and about two dozens of people listening. Definitely worth it.
• Besides the excellent food, “Balla coi cinghiali” usually has good bands on stage. The Gribitch Brothers and Sisters made me dance a lot and I love them.
